Dr. Amy E. Harth
Welcome!
I'm a higher education administrator, educator, writer, researcher, speaker, coach and consultant.
I'm a higher education administrator, educator, writer, researcher, speaker, coach and consultant.
I’ve learned that both information and compassion can be used to support the oppressors or support the oppressed.
I chose anti-oppression.
Now, my work focuses on affirming people with marginalized identities.
We get to validate our lived experience. We deserve to heal. Our human rights are essential.
My coaching and consulting integrates my lived experience as a white, fat, disabled, queer, non-binary person, my decade of research in anti-oppression and emotional health.
I completed my PhD in anti-oppression research because I witnessed the power of research to develop solutions to inequity and injustice. And I’ve spent years researching emotional health to ensure that my research always centers our humanity.
If you’ve been told oppressive lies, I’m here to affirm that:
We’re often told to seek solutions to our emotional needs as if our oppression doesn’t matter. But recognizing our struggle is essential to finding serenity.

If you’ve been told oppressive lies, I’m here to affirm that:
- A ‘solution’ that denies your struggle is oppression.
- A ‘solution’ that identifies you as the problem is oppression
- A ‘solution’ that rejects who you are is oppression.
We’re often told to seek solutions to our emotional needs as if our oppression doesn’t matter. But recognizing our struggle is essential to finding serenity.
If this sounds better, let's work together.
